Why do people keep blaming 2K for the WWE games being shit? They've been shit for a long time and it's entirely on Yukes. 2K just publishes the games. It's like blaming Vince for every botch Sasha does.

Yukes fucking up is on Take-Two considering they're the producer that owns the rights to the games.
They could deliver an ultimatum to Yukes regarding the quality of the product based on the universally poor feedback, insert their own guys from a 2K studio to give technical support, or decide to pass the series on to another dev entirely.
They won't though, because Take-Two can ignore the reception, they're satisfied with the sales, a new dev taking over probably wouldn't be able to finish in time for the release date they've already cemented next year, and the effort involved to make a better product isn't worth it to them.
Better to let Yukes cook up another mess from the same broken mould, but at least get it out on time, and rake in the sales from the game and the pre-made DLC.
