ITT: Wrestlers who are currently having the best year of their careers
So far so good IMO
>>1867622
fantastic year so far
It's not Joe's best year but he's born again hard after how out of shape and demoralised he was in the second half of his TNA run. He's fucking great. Just wish he was on the main roster.

Undoubtedly:
>title reign that was utterly mediocre and completely unremarkable for months until 1 worked shoot cheap heat promo
...actually yeah that's probably right.
This year is unique actually in that a lot wrestlers are the best they've ever been:
Bobby Lashley
The Miz
DJZ
Matt Hardy
Johnny Mundo
Roman Reigns
Jessie Godderz
Drew Galloway
TJP
Marty Scurll
Tetsuya Naito
Kenny Omega
Charlotte
Brian Cage
Crazzy Steve
Dalton Castle
Inversely you have a shit ton of wrestlers that are regressing like Dean Ambrose, Sasha Banks, Seth Rollins, Jay Lethal etc.

>working the marks
0 dimes.

Mundo is a really great choice actually.

Finally made it to the big leagues

WORKED
>>1867721
I feel like his run in NXT has been fucking awful.
>>1867710
>DJZ
Is DJZ really that good because I've seen a few matches and felt a little underwhelmed, and his promos are some of the worst I've ever heard.
>Inversely you have a shit ton of wrestlers that are regressing like Dean Ambrose
Ambrose has killed it on the mic since going to SD.

>NXT
>Big Leagues

He's improved big time since his 1st run in TNA and his mini-feud with Bobby Lashley has really pushed him. He's not great on the mic but he's a believable face and his in-ring stuff seems to depend on who actually books the matches (which is TNA's biggest on-screen problem). His match against Trevor Lee at BFG was really good and his match this week was decent.
>Dean Ambrose
Not really. I think his character's reached its ceiling and the only times he's been good on the mic is when he's deviated from the character. In-ring, we can all agree that the guy needs to rest or something.
>>1867745
In kayfabe, sure, he's up there with Mike Bennett, Sasha Banks (2x womens champion), Baron Corbin, Finn Balor etc. but outside of it he's really sliding.
>>1867644
>nia and braun
i ship it
>>1867710
Naito's a big one, he's so popular that his faction are out-selling Bullet Club in merch even with Kenny Omega also killing it.
These two guys
>>1867644
Imagine the sex they have.
>>1869735
Depends on who you're talking to.
>>1869737
Like a bear humping a gorilla.

>Miz gets to work scriptless on Talking Smack.
>Gets his character over.by shitting on a indie darling.
>Gets massive heat imitating him.
Why should he be criticized for this?
>>1867683
Hi Daniel!
>>1867622
every single year is his best year
>>1867721
>le big leagues xD
t. Stepford Wife
>>1869735
More like worst.
>>1867721
He's not gonna fare on the MR, and probably retire because he's scared of the true GOAT of NJPW, BMT.
I don't think there's any reasonable argument to be made for this not being Asuka's biggest year so far.

2005 Jericho was best Jericho desu, even if he was stuck in the mid card
