Also, wrestling isn't as popular anymore. People got bored with it. Short attention span.
That's why people like UFC more - blood, shock factor, the fights are shady, but the consensus is that they're legit, so UFC still has ""kayfabe"". And a rabid fanbase.
More competent writing probably helps as well.

I'll break it down to ya in case you're new to this country. We live in what is called a "Consumer Society." 70% of our GDP is from consumption compared to other countries which have far, far less consumption and more focus on building for the future. "Ratings" and "Draws" are indications of how much the population is consuming a good or service, which is our society is basically the entirety of its value. So when you see a post of a draw or rating decreasing that means that their worth in society has decreased.

There isn't a single believable feud going on so there's absolutely no heat and no reason to watch. Add to this the roster is tiny so you see the same matches every single week. It's so fucking boring.

It IS the result of hiring too many indy guys. 3/4th of them can't perform under WWE standards.
Not only does WWE have shitty, porn-tier writing, but it also has some of the best indy guys that become charisma vacuums once they hit the main roster.
Rollins isn't charismatic enough to carry long promo segments without them getting boring as fuck, Zayn is too bland to step out of his babyface comfort zone, Neville has no charisma at all, Cesaro neither, Ambrose is a failure altogether.
The roster is too vanilla, to the point where I don't even care who wins or loses. There are a few who I do care about, like based Geordie or Harper, but there's literally zero chances for them to become more than an afterthought in the product.

The oh-so-popular charisma =/= mic skills argument.
Thing is, Cesaro isn't so unique in looks and behavior to get a gimmick that wouldn't force him to get on the mic to sell a story.
All the guys that had charisma that didn't depend on mic skills were fleshed out characters with unique looks, unique behavior, unique moves, unique mannerism, etc. Cesaro only has his almost-superhuman strength.
You could argur that Brock is the exact same, but thing is - Brock is 250 - 300lbs and has a Jew doing the talking for him.

Cesaro has the same problem as Neville - they can only wrestle really, really, really fucking good, but they are mediocre at best at other things, which makes them get lost in the shuffle, and the only reason they have a sizeable following is because people like to latch onto the whole "he deserves better" theme.
I mean, Neville is athletic as fuck and really deserves better... You get my point.
