Thanks anyways!
>>1828027
I heard he died of eternal bleeding
>>1827977
Is Kobiashi's Burning Hammer the best finisher ever? He's used it only like 6 times and it has a 100% pin rate. Are there any other true Super Finishers in wrestling?
>>1827979
>Rollins used this on a house show after his return
>>1828120
Rey Mysterio's 619 is pretty fucking effective.
>>1828120
I think possibly the Canadian Destroyer? At least during Peteys TNA run. Don't recall anyone kicking out without another wrestler breaking up the pin.
Homicides cop-killer didn't get wasted much either
>>1828027
Well at least he made 35 dollars that night
>>1828113
This is what happens when a faggot tries too hard to be creative.
>>1828120
>Only when Kobiashi uses it.
I wanna see Brian Kendrick destroy T.J. Perkins with this move. He should use it as a finisher and not have anyone kick out of it. He could have the ultimate heel turn by botching it and breaking T.J. Perkin's neck.
>When you finisher your opponent so hard it becomes a shoot.
>>1828138
The Canadian destroyer is fucking gay and isn't the Cop-Killa just a vertebreaker?
>>1828027
>still kicks out
>>1828157
Yeah that's why I said specifically Kobiashi's, I know it's been done and kicked out by others, I don't count that.
>>1828176
Based Senor Joe
>>1827980
>th-they're not making my fake wrestling move look strong enough
>>1827977
Why is it called burning hammer?
>>1828166
I'm aware it's gay. That's beside the point. The question anon asked was which moves have that high success rate. Petey Williams Canadian Destroyer didn't have any kick outs that I recall.
Yeah Cop-Killer was a vertebreaker, but when Homicide used it, it was largely protected. Many people used a leg drop but when Hogan did it became a move of doom.
>>1828203
>people are talking and not just spamming memes
>>1828203
>With this move being fake and all can I hit you with a shoot one and upload it to live leak?
>>1828222
Are you implying you could hit that in a real fight?
>>1828223
>Me: 6'3" 260lbs Monster
>You: 5'6" 125lbs Manlet
>Wouldn't take much effort to do except when I do it we are going to rename it the Manlet Driver.
>>1828133
it was the head scissors before that decapitated him
>>1828214
Imagine the handle is the giver and the hammer head is the taker. Also whenever you break a bone you get a really hot burning feeling. 10/10 name if I do say so myself.

>yfw it was Japanese lady wrestlers who invented these moves
The one who created the Burning Hammer (can't remember her name and she called it something else) set it up differently though. She'd start with a powerbomb lift-up then shimmy her opponent across her shoulders into the torture rack position.
Pretty crazy to think women came up with these moves, but Japanese female wrestlers gave even less of a fuck back then compared to the men. Just check out pic related. Manami Toyota invented the VICTORY STAR DROP and I believe she's only done it once in her entire career (and she's still wrestling along with Aja Kong who is the recipient in that gif).

>*Bell Rings*
>You charge at me like CM Punk charged Mickey Gall.
>I proceed to deliver a Test like big boot, cracking you in the dome piece and knocking you on your ass.
>Blood starts pouring out of the gash in your head because your pathetic manlet body can't handle a slight tap from my size 13 boot.
>You begin to whimper and beg for forgiveness like the little bitch you are but it's to late, you should have never insulted me over the Internet.
>Concussed, you begin to stand and I hit you with a Clothesline from Hell nearly decapitating you.
>I then lift your limp, lifeless body on my shoulders and proceed to deliver a hellacious Burning Hammer.
>*Crowd Goes Wild While Chanting "Holy Shit" and "Kill the Cuck"*
>Instead of going for the pin I decide to end you with a Curb Stomp (not that pussy Seth Rollin's Curb Stomp but that based American History X Curb Stomp), resulting in a TKO.
>*Crowd Loses Their Fucking Minds*
>I exit to the ringside and pick up your girlfriend/wife in my arms and carry her backstage for a one on one pussy pounding bout where I get to "go over" and the finish is inside her.
Pic Related: You a year from now, coping with the injuries I gave you for running your fucking mouth on the Internet while you raise the half-black kid I impregnated your wife with.

Wow he's actually still alive, that is fucking remarkable
>>1828361
cringe
>>1828353
Those bitches were no joke. I miss dank finishers like these. Seems like the average finisher these days relies more upon being unique or a gimmick rather than looking like a move that would genuinely finish your opponent.
>>1828378
SEETHING MUCH
>>1828386
You can only escalate so much which is one of the reasons both joshi and All Japan fell
Always gotta top the last move
>>1828407
The escalation made sense story-wise, but it wasn't necessary. The fans were more than willing to believe finishers like the Tiger Driver 91 and Burning Hammer were enough to put any human being away. But I guess Baba felt he had to keep escalating the violence while leaving that wonderful match structure and strategy behind.
>>1828398
>implying your not carter
>>1828410
If you take away the violence and excess of AJPW and AJW I don't think either would have blown up to the point they did. Especially the women's promotions because they didn't have the several GOATs all in the same place at the same time like AJPW
>>1828325
Thats the main reason I watch wwe
>>1828417
AJPW didn't become THAT violent until the late 90s. The strikes became noticeably stiffer, the match structures and strategies were almost nonexistent, and guys like Kobashi started kicking out of ultimate finishers like the Tiger Driver 91. Also I think the crowds started showing up less by this point because it was the same handful of guys wrestling each other for years by this point and the match quality had dropped (I don't have any attendance numbers to prove this though, just from what I've seen of the crowds when watching the matches).
AJPW seemed to have hit their peak in the mid 90s which is when their match quality was at its highest. They weren't reliant on brutal stiff strikes and dangerous head drops YET. Those things were there of course, but they were used sparingly when the story called for them.
>>1828423
By the way I'm comparing late 90s AJPW with pre-late 90s AJPW. Any way you look at it AJPW was definitely a violent promotion and was probably the most violent promotion that didn't rely on death matches or hardcore matches.
>>1828423
None of the AJPW guys are in le meltz's top draws of the 90s per asses in seats
Year by year they rank as
>1990
>3. Stan Hansen
>1995
>5. Mitsuharu Misawa
>1996
>7. Kenta Kobashi, Toshiaki Kawada, Akira Taue
Also all for asses in seats. There's a top 100 money draw list also made by meltzer which I cannot find but I doubt any of the big four would rank super high. All Japan was a consistent #2 to New Japan financially chugga chuggaing along without any high highs or low lows.
It's kind of sad when they were critically received very well around the world and had the hottest crowds (I think there was a relief show with AJPW/NJPW/FMW(?) guys on it not and the crowd reacted the most to the AJ guys) and they didn't profit as much as they should have. Baba was probably too set in his ways
>>1828429
They were violent as fuck in the 80s to just a different type of violent. Hansen, Dr. Death, Brody ect. all were having great brawls that made the stuff everyone else was doing look like kiddy shit in comparison.
>>1828445
The violence of All Japan was always on another level, that's why Onita retired and started cutting himself and blowing himself up because it was safer than an All Japan tour. Foley said the same thing in an issue of the observer apparently, but he was just going off of heresay. I saw his match with Jumbo and Jumbo didn't even touch him but Foley broke some ribs bumping, he was just an asshurt carnie who didn't get that the japs didn't pop for bumps
>>1828026
Haven't seen a wwe crowd cheer like that in a while
>>1828361
I laughed way harder than I should've
