Wrestling news has always reported viewership as a final show rating all the way back to before the Attitude Era, the only reason they stopped doing it in the last few years is because they have got so bad and 'overall viewership' looks slightly better because it is harder to compare it with old ratings

Ratings are/were reported prominently because advertisers valued ratings more than total viewerships, actually the demographic ratings percentage to be really specific. However, that system is rapidly changing with the internet. Though in regards to WWE, internet doesn't mean much and ratings are still very valuable because USA network values them.

Raw's booking is killing Raw and it would have killed Finn too. They already tried their best to do so before summerslam by giving the Demon King persona the worst debut they possibly could.

Finn getting injured is the best thing that could have happened to him long term. Maybe by the time he's recovered they'll have gone so far down that SD will be beating them handily every week and they'll realize that their creative team is the fucking problem.
