He also had anger issues and treated his wife like shit. This is never really mentioned at all. They split up briefly, close friends and family made them hash things out. Nancy was ready to move on into the next part of their life. Benoit never had plans of retiring, even though they both agreed Benoit would open a wrestling school and stop wrestling himself. Nancy's sister says there are 500 shirts with benoit on them and his wrestling school in storage.

He snapped. I think we'll never know everything and always ask ourselves why. It's just sad and you will always find yourself wishing he didn't do it.
