The Michaels v Taker match at Wrestlemania 25 had a lame build and wasn't the match people were hyped about. The pay per view was sold on the blood feud between Orton and Triple H, and Triple H was the bigger draw of the two and the babyface.

Undertaker was the draw in his series with HBK. HBK's big matches at other mania's in his second run weren't big attractions, but Undertaker's were. As great as HBK was, casual fans wouldn't have cared that much to see him in a big match in 2009 without the grandeur of the streak and Taker's gimmick.

Daniel Bryan didn't draw strong numbers until after his big win at Wrestlemania 30. Before then he did middling numbers. Batista was the draw who put the eyeballs on Bryan for his coronation as a top guy and a bona fide draw.
