No. In 1998, WCW was still red hot and Stone Cold's rise hadn't truly eclipsed them yet. It's been posited that what really put the writing on the wall as far as their demise in concerned was the infamous Fingerpoke of Doom. It showed who truly ran the show and how he was in it for himself and cared absolutely nothing about the well-being of the company.
