You realize this group of friends destroyed wrestling. Their shoot interviews show they are cool guys but they ruined wrestling forever.

Hall and Pac did the least damage to wrestling desu. Plus after retirement they spent time giving back to wrestling unlike Michaels and Nash.

Listen up faggot, Shawn Michaels is the best American in-ring worker of all time and without him and Bret Hart the WWE would have flat out folded in 1995. Or would you rather Hogan come walking through that door brother?

Sure Hall and Nash had some rough patches near the end of their time in WCW but think of this- the NWOs dominance forced WWF to up their game, creating the Attitude Era with DX, Stone Cold and Rock.

The Attitude Era not only opened the doors to make a small promotion like ECW a nationwide powerhouse, but then gave them direct crossover exposure. This in turn gave legitimacy to smaller indy promotions and now we have thriving companies like CZW, CHIKARA, and ROH which is where WWE gets most of its talent these days.

TLDR- all the guys pictured saved wrestling from the Backlund/Hogan/Sammartino era and OP is a gigantic faggot
>>
I can understand Michaels because he was world champ, but why the fuck did they let a vanilla midget like X Pac hang around with them?
>>
>>1730775
lol ECW was already on PPV before The Attitude Era started

Which was a whole-sale ripoff of ECW in general

ECW was a regional promotion before the Attitude Era, even with PPV. Yes Vince ripped off Heyman in everything he did, but without that ECW would never have gained the rabid popularity it did.

Hall and Nash saved wrestling. The rest did fuck all to keep up. Makes sense as they are the only non-manlets pictured

Guys like D Bry ruined wrestling. The guys in OP pic brought wrestling to it's height and then logical end point

>>1730867
Agreed, but they wouldn't have gotten nearly as big without Hogan
>>
>>1730888
>brought wrestling to it's height
They couldn't even draw a penny and they sunk WCW down with their contracts and shitty booking decisions. Also blaming DBry is just plain wrong. Wrestling was at it's decline way before Bryan even came along.

Yeah, all those tens of thousands of paying customers are totally a vocal minority compared to your bitching on a Taiwanese stopmotion board.

>>1730896
>guys LIKE Bryan

WWE's decline began when HHH & Lesnar were its top stars.
>>
>>1730906
Ambrose is just like D Bry, an indie faggot.

Reigns is an example of a vocal minority influence booking. WWE is such a speck on the cultural landscape, professional wrestling has never been less relevant or popular, that the few people who watch and attend the product are hard core fans who make their (shit tier) opinions known and take over the shows.
>>
>>1730908
HHH is shit, just like Bryan and Brock was always garbage, a carnival attraction at best. And,
>tens of thousands
Yeah, the ''yes'' chant was over.

I'm sure you've watched a lot of Dijak matches ;)

Thought we were discussing style, not your (wrong) assessments of their talent.
>>
>>1730943
>TNA is not indie, it's American.
Then what you're saying is ROH, NWA, CZW, LU, and PWG are not indie but American as they are all based in the USA.
>>
>>1730949
I'm talking about their ability to make and maintain professional wrestling as a relevant and popular product.
>>
>>1730954
How can anybody do that when the booking of WWE is so, so terrible?
>>
>>1730952
Nah, those are indie. ROH is the only one that kinda skirts the line between the two. I'm not sure Lucha counts as a promotion.

TNA is established, on TV, and offers classic modern American professional wrestling.
>>
>>1730959
Booking has nothing to do with it. Nothing. It's about characters and larger than life personalities, and to a lesser extent, physical freaks like Andre, Yokozuna, Steiner, Brock or Benoit.
>>
>>1730954

Literally nobody can do that. The wwe is going to just be a spring board into the UFC, acting, or porn/playboy. Indy feds draw 1k at best on a live show. Nobody gives a fuck about wrestling anymore

Their heights start with 5.

Which both Ambrose & Bryan have, dummy.
>>
>>1730966
I agree, nobody cares about wrestling anymore. However, if the right guy came into the business it could change. You'd need someone pretty spectacular.
>>
>>1730966
>Indy feds draw 1k at best on a live show.

fucking ICW outdraws that just in Scotland you /wwe/ babby
>>
>>1730969
Neither one of those guys has a larger than life personality, you seriously need to kill yourself you fucking faggot mark.

Steiner and Benoit were roided up freaks, that's why people watched them and remember them. Height has nothing to do with it.
>>
>>1730961
Then that singles out ROH, NWA, and LU.

ROH is established, it's on TV, and it offers classic American professional wrestling.
NWA is definitely established even if it has severely lost influence, it's on TV, and it is where all of classic American professional wrestling come from.
LU is established and an actual promotion, it's on TV, and despite Lucha stuff there is some classic modern American professional wrestling.
>>
>>1730985
LU tours and has house shows and shit?
>>
>>1730979
>Height has nothing to do with it
Tell that to the majority of this board.
>>
>>1730979
If they're not "Larger than Life" your boy Reigns certainly isn't, considering they're vastly more over than he's ever been with only a fraction of the promotion.
>>
>>1730979
You can be a skinny faggot and still be over as fuck and have some personality.

Jon moxley would become over as fuck as a heel in WWE instead of this watered down PG ambrose.
>>
>>1730985
What channels are ROH and NWA on?

And LU isn't established, it's been on for 2 seasons
>>
>>1730976

It's more than that. wwe has wriiten them self into a corner. Where they told everybody that it's fake, but write scripts to the talent to pretend it's real, but the talent breaks kayfabe on social media all the time, but brock busts open randy for some reason to try to bring in the ufc crowd, but they don't give a fuck because they think it's ketchup on his head anyway.

tl;dr wrestling is fucked

>>1730978

listen man, you're probably right. But it's still a sorry state when we have to argue between thousands of live viewers.
>>
>>1730989
Reigns sucks and has no personality. I never said he did.

>>1730990
>You can be a skinny faggot and still be over as fuck and have some personality.

You're right. D Bry and Ambrose, however, don't. They are laid back indie marks.
>>
>>1730986
Actually yeah, LU came around my city a while ago for a house show/event.
>>
>>1730992
Agree with you completely. They opened a pantera's box in the 90s in an effort to beat WCW, they slaughtered all their sacred cows and there's nothing left. They haven't tried in 16 years, Vince is doing an endless victory lap and has sent professional wrestling back to the 60s and 70s in terms of relevancy and creative incompetence.
>>
>>1730995
OK then, who do you like.

CHALLENGE MODE: must have debuted as pro in the 21st century.

>Bryan & Ambrose aren't over as fuck and don't have personality

>>1731003
>a pantera's box

WALK
>>
>>1730990
No he would be as lame in the ring just with more curse words
>>
>>1731007
They are over with a vocal minority of hard core WWE fans, sure. But they don't have personality.

I like AJ, who I don't think has a larger than life personality. I like Cena because of his larger than life personality. I like Rusev because he's goofy and is a semi-throwback. I like Jericho for the first time in his career because he doesn't give a shit anymore and combined with his veteran experience he's a pretty entertaining guy, but he's also pretty bland in terms of personality.
>>
>>1731007

Not the same anon. But it's impossible to choose anybody from the current wwe, they cannot get over because it is not them talking. They are bad actors reading from scripts and it shows.

I honestly like the people from LU and TNA. They have taken wrestling to the next logical conclusion and have made it as ridiculous as possible.

>>1731003

True. Vince has brought wrestling back to the 60s carney era. An old man desperate to relive his success in the 90s. Eventually the large sweaty man known as the wwe will fall.
>>
>>1730991
Actually never mind, ROH left Destination America. Although I do see it on local television since it's a Sinclair-owned channel. Also never mind on NWA, the promotion they did tapings with left NWA a while ago.

As for whether LU is established is up to debate.
>>
>>1731022
If they're such a "vocal minority" why are their reactions consistent across every show in every venue for the past few years?

Where are all their detractors hiding?

>I like Cena because of his larger than life personality.

Cena is the definition of "Generic WWE Pseudo-Babyface"
>>
>>1731026
>They are bad actors reading from scripts and it shows.

This. There's nobody like Hogan, Flair, Macho, Austin or a lesser extent The Rock in today's business (other than Cena) who can turn shit into gold.
>>
>>1731049
Those guys weren't given shit scripts penned by a senile 70 year-old who hasn't been in touch with modern audiences since 1989
>>
>>1731032
>If they're such a "vocal minority" why are their reactions consistent across every show in every venue for the past few years?

Because people parrot what they see on TV and want to be part of the crowd, that's literally it.

>Cena is the definition of "Generic WWE Pseudo-Babyface"

So was Hogan and Warrior, doesn't mean they weren't larger than life. Nobody else can deliver a two-minute baby face promo while looking directly into the camera like Cena, all while delivering it with conviction, humor if need be, violence if need be.
>>
>>1731055
If you took a transcript of a Hogan or Warrior promo from 86 it would sound like trash coming out of a lesser performer.
>>
>>1731058
>everybody is a sheep but not a freethinker like me

Warrior was nothing like a generic WWE pseudo-babyface.
