Apparently John Cena ribbed him in the locker room, Riley got pissed and stood up to Cena telling him to knock it off, and Cena got pissed so he went to Vince and politicked Riley out of a job.

He had a DUI right after he beat Miz which completely killed his momentum. Couldn't ever get on track after that.
