Calling all Ancient Smarks, wrestling historians, southern territory fans and fans of cage matches in general
Wrestling's Holy Grail has been found and will be aired on the network on tuesday
for those of you who don't know, The Last Battle of Atlanta is a 1983 roofed cage match (the first one ever supposedly) between "Wildfire" Tommy Rich and "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer with Paul Elliring in a shark cage above the cage but was always believed the footage was lost or destroyed as the match was never aired on TV.
This is the match that HBK credits as being the inspiration for Hell in a Cell.
>Paul Elliring in a shark cage above the cage
I really hope the venue didn't get hit by a tornado. Otherwise it might have caused a Paul Ellering Shark cage cagenado.
