Marks, money marks, competing with rival business (feds).
Of course in the end wrestling was born out of the carnivals so a lot of people in it hold the philosophy everything is about making money and working the marks

They are instead called casuals and hardcore.

I can understand why wrestlers hate smarks, smarks think they know everything, and they harder to work money out of.
Marks are just there to hand over cash and enjoy the show.
Smarks can be turned into marks though, you know they want to see some flippy shit done by some indie prick.
