The WWE constantly changed their image during all of the 90s, before Attitude. And kept aping other things from many different feds and workers. Into their own program.

TNA will be the final deletion into WWE's massive catalog.

Dubious. Remember that there are millions of lapsed wrestling fans from the 90s boom. One might also observe that a great many of those people didn't watch wrestling before the boom hit either, so it is possible to win non-wrestling people.

As for the "small company" problem, ECW broke out into the mainstream in the late 90s. They weren't very well run, but they definitely got exposure.
