Olympics edition
Judo has just finished, wrestling is currently underway.
What did you guys think to Judo's showing in Rio? Are you enjoying the wrestling?
Personally i feel that the rule changes after London were proven to have been a massive backwards step in these games, not so much the leg grabs, but the shido rules are especially grating. I also feel that yuko needs to go the way of koka, far too much defensive work from players as soon as they're a point up or their opponent is a shido down.
Of course, I do miss leg grabs, but I love some of the innovation we've seen these last few years since their ban.

If there's any that you'd want to add for wrestling or BJJ, chuck it in here and we can make sure they get shared in each new thread.

Wow, go fuck yourself somewhere else, retard!
What do you guys think about this anti-grappling move I invented?
with how popular bjj has gotten in recent years I'm surprised it wasn't added to the olympics this year. This was the only chance it had at it too, they wont be going back to brazil any time this century

The IOC thinks it has too much conflict with Judo and Wrestling. I can see why they might think that for people not involved in any kind of grappling art, but it's a shame for BJJ. I'd like to see submission only nogi matches in the olympics.

I would prefer gi matches, no gi submission can go on forever. gi gives more offensive options to set traps with and you see more slick sneaky shit when someone is really good at playing lapels

give me no time limit submission only like U.S. Grappling events
I think Judo is a massive stall fest now. I'm looking forward to watching Burroughs wrestle tomorrow however, after masturbating feverishly to the female wrestling today.
