Like, why even go to houseshow when the matches are most likely going to be the same as on Monday, Tuesdays or on the Network special?
Like last year, the Montreal Road to Wrestlemania houseshow was practically the same matches with the same spots (only with less restholds since they don't have to fill TV time) as Roadblock in Toronto the next day.

When Hogan left, WWF ended up with Nash, Hall and Michaels playing hot potato with the titles which almost tanked the company.

In Austins time, WWF were lucky to have pushed 2 once in a lifetime talents (the other being the rock) so when austin left, it wasnt such a big hit as they hadn't concentrated EVERY main event on him for the 4-5 years he was on top.

Since Austin, they havent really allowed any one wrestler to hold as much power in the company, except for Cena, cos both he and they know he wouldnt be able to go anywhere else (bland babyface whos gimmick is winning matches and breaking kayfabe in promos)

I'm sure someone will rise to the top eventually, but the company will be in smaller venues soon. They had a fire with Daniel Bryan that they tried to snuff out, so they've shown they only listen when the fans completely turn against them, it shouldnt need to be so in-your-face for them to figure out who to push
