>Addressing his box office drawing power, McMahon and former WWE executives Jim Ross and Paul Heyman have declared Austin to be the most profitable wrestler in the history of the organization. Ross asserted: "Nobody touches Austin... No-one generated more cash in the length of their WWE career". Industry veterans and multiple-time WWE Champions Ric Flair, John Cena and CM Punk have each named Austin as the biggest star in WWE history, and, along with McMahon, have stressed that he surpassed the popularity of Hulk Hogan.

yes

>When he slowly started wrestling again, he was a bigger star than ever before. His career exploded with an angle with Mike Tyson in January, and a WWF title win at the next WrestleMania, and shortly after, became the hottest commodity the company ever had, eventually breaking almost all of Hogan’s box office, PPV and merchandise records. At his peak, he earned $13 million in a calender year, breaking Hogan’s peak record of $8 million.

M8 everyone knows Austin was the biggest draw ever at his peak, you don't need to bump this 4 times in a row to show it. The actual argument comes from Hogan drawing 15 years more than Austin did, and Hogan also drawing big as a heel. Still, Austin peaked higher. Look at the Unforgiven 2000 buyrate when they announced his return, nearly a 300k increase from 1999. Insane stuff

The thing is, Austin marks (like Austin himself) are extremely insecure when their favorite wrestler isn't praised so it's fun to trigger them. Getting behind Hogan is the easiest, because when Hogan came back in 2002 he was the most over wrestler on the roster and Austin turned into a mid carder. They get mad when you bring this up

theres been more Hogan dick sucking threads recently than Austin ones

>Austin a mid-carder

Begging you to have sex Hoganfag
>>
>>1613548
Austin was in the mid card because he did not want to work with Hogan, he was offered the match before Rock
>>
>>1613560
In 2002? He was

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judgment_Day_(2002)#Results

Firmly in the midcard. Due to a combination of injuries and Austin being fed up with creative he was in the midcard

>>1613552
Because he BTFO'd Gawker again, nothing more
>>
>>1613564
He was in the mid card after 18 too, Hogan main evented the next two PPVs while Austin was in a upper card match with Taker and in a mid card match vs Show/Flair. Again, this was because he was fed up with creative and him shitting on them repeatedly. Shortly after Judgement Day, he even went on Byte This and publicly buried the writers
>>

>Shortly after Judgement Day, he even went on Byte This and publicly buried the writers
and that's why Vince wanted him to job to Lesnar with no build, just to be petty and punish Austin

>Thinking anything he did would make him a mid-carder to the fans

Begging you to seek sunlight Hoganfag

Yes, typical from Vince.

It all worked out in the end though. A year later, we got a pretty good emotional (looking back at the circumstances) Austin/Rock match and Austin went out quietly like he wanted to. Also, Hogan/Rock was 100 times better than a hypothetical Hogan/Austin. Austin shouldn't have faced Scott Hall either, but imagine him selling Hogan hulking up? It would be ridiculous, Rock worked much better for that match
>>
>>1613579
>Hoganfag

Why are you Austin marks insecure again? I literally called him the biggest draw ever at his peak, and said that most people only get behind Hogan to trigger Austin marks, like yourself from the look of it

And yes, he was a mid carder at that point. Deny it all you want, his position on the card from WM18 until he walked out, justly or not positioned him as a mid carder.
>>
>>1613577
>I'm upset with you Austin, so instead of putting aside our differences and building a huge match to make both of us a lot money, I want you to job on free tv
Vince is an idiot
