Austin's Heel turn isn't a black-and-white thing to gauge. As a character, Austin was a fucking great Heel. But the entire story around it was one of the singular worst decisions in wrestling History.
He was not getting any consistent heat no matter how Godly of a Heel he was. It was poor timing personified.
