Most of these seem pretty good except the one about being topical. There's a nugget of truth there, WWE's serial nature allows it to use current events to be relevant, but done incorrectly it also runs the risk of severely dating the product.

Like, celebrity pop culture shit is shallow, transient and easily forgotten. It waters down the product.

Mauro is on a different level to Striker, are you legit mentally retarded? He actually calls the matches, noticing the little things and the stories the rasslers are trying to tell, as well as constantly coming up with new phrases every match. He's the only commentator other than JBL (who has his own problems) who doesn't sound like a whiny fan, but an actual journalist with some gravitas.

He's way above average. He's got a great voice and a really nice turn of phrase, he constantly does research and puts his all into trying to always offer something new, unlike the other hacks who phone it in. It's because he's a fan as well as being someone who got into the commentating business outside of just being one of Vince's yesmen.
