NJPW has a US tv show that airs their stuff (Jim Ross and Josh Barnett on commentary, I think) but its way delayed. No subtitles or similar on the regular Japanese shows.

Japanese wrestling is generally much less angle-driven than US. You could watch it muted and still pick up 99% of whats going on.

Dunno how you feel about women's wrestling but Stardom (biggest current joshi promotion in japan) has a network service with full english subtitles and their main events are the best women's wrestling in the world right now
