Wrestling is no longer must see TV. From 2006-2012, you basically knew exactly what was gonna happen each week on Raw. Cena is a great talent, a draw, and was a good face of the company, but the booking around him was so dated by the mid 2000's. WWE still hasn't recovered from that and I don't know if they ever will to be perfectly honest

There are no storylines anymore it's just the same shit week after week. Wrestler vs Wrestler "uhh im gonna beat you at (insert PPV)" "no you aren't i'm gonna beat you"
After 4 weeks of promos they have a pointless match. Throughout those 4 weeks they commentate each others vs matches vs jobbers and maybe interfere once or twice, or attack after the match.

ITS THE SAME OLD SHIT. SAME BORING PROMOS. They need better storylines, something, anything different. Hell even the Wyatts do this, it just seems like it's more entertaining because the lights go out before they attack their opponent.

1997-2000, wrestling was a cultural phenomena. It was a product of the 90s, popular with teenagers and children, as well as adults looking for mindless entertainment that made the 90s great for TV.


2001-2002 is when Stone Cold, The Rock, Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Bret Hart, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Goldberg, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes and the Undertaker (somewhat) announced their retirement. Many fans didn't bother to watch if these guy's weren't around.

The shutting down of WCW also took away a lot of fans

It's slowly been hemorrhaging fans ever since.
