Punk v Austin would have popped a huge number no matter where or when they did it. Total Mania Main Event caliber match.
Story writes itself, old dog comes around for 1 last go around, cocky new young gun doesn't like it and feels slighted/disrespected by everyone fawning for the nostaliga of the old guy.
Add in the Straight Edge vs Drink Beer/Raise Hell attitude of Stone Cold, it's the simplest booking there is.
This is the match that could have saved WM32 had Punk not left and Austin been in shape to go, instead of that awful Undertaker/Shane O Mac stunt show that ruined Taker's working relationship with WWE.
