Matt on Talk is Jericho was some of the best character work in years.
Broken Matt's response to being asked how he feels about his large following in the gay community was the best
Broken Matt Hardy is the GOAT
I can honestly say that I have not looked forward to anything as much as I have looked forward to this. I am going to DELETE every other podcast on my phone and download this episode of Talk is Jericho as many times as it can fit on my SD card.
Sheer broken brilliance.

Broken Matt is beyond based.

Listening now - how the fuck either of them haven't started laughing?

Can't wait for this Mattetty meme to die
Holy shit Broken Matt BTFO smarks, Meltzer, and flippy shit.
>>1558066
Same pham, it's literally a meme right now and I can't wait for people to be sick of him and he just shut up and crawl back to WWE afterwards.
>>1558085
>it's literally a meme right now
It started as a meme, you dweeb. Now it is ALIVE.

Memes begin and die as memes, no one will talk about this once he's gone.
>It has actually become such a strong piece of terminology, it is in the Urban Dictionary
literal tears
>>1558103
Memes began before 4chan, buddy. Hulk Hogan was a literal meme. It worked ok for him.
>"I was the man who defeated the third version of Carter."
What did "Broken" "Big Money" Matt Hardy mean by this?
Where can i listen to this senpai
>>1558169
The official site where Jericho uploads his podcast and you can listen to at any moment
>>1558109
Hogan was a character, not a meme. Matt being "so bad it's good" is a meme.
>>1558288
No, it's a character.
Like Roddy Piper, or Goldust, or Mankind.
It's not new. It's entertainment.
>>1558149
It means EC3 and Carter are the same person
WTF BASED MATT ON COOLDAD?? WHY WAS IT NOT INFORMED
LISTENING NOW
>>1558288
The character itself is pretty good from a storytelling perspective.
>on your road to greatness in a specific company
>you reach out for the grand prize
>you're on top of the world
>out of all people, your own brother betrays you
>he goes as far as to risk his own body just to take you out
>he throws himself at you until you break mentally
>but in that mental illness, you start perceiving the world differently
>although twisted by your newfound illness, your worldview is accurate and you see through all the stuff that nobody else wants nor can see through
>your illness becomes the basis for your genius
It's like the story of the phoenix. Cheesy, but it makes sense - Matt could've been obliterated or could've given up by now, but instead of accepting being broken, he rises again to seek vengeance and to make a strength out of what everyone around him assumed was a weakness.
It has plot, it's sensible. The execution is bizarre, but it works.
Fucking hell, I can't believe I'm glorifying this fat fuck.
>>1559443
No, you're absolutely right. The podcast shows this, that Matt is able to criticise parts of the wrestling business (hardcore/extreme, death of Kayfabe, Hall of Fame/Legends contracts) without exposing the business or breaking kayfabe.
He says he will be the start of a different direction for wrestling and I think he might be right - that even the most smark-baiting performer will realise that having a loyalty to your character or gimmick is still the bigger draw than "doing great social media".
>I AM MAGIC
How can one man be so based?
He's literally saving wrestling.
>>1558169
I use podcast addict not bad for a free app
>Matt Hardy is just the avatar for a Broken soul that has inhabited Earth for two thousand years
>>1558061
>I leave the house regularly to interact with and contribute to society

If you spend so much time indoors, kindly explain why you are so bad at memeing properly.
>subterranean lucha
Jericho mentioned the possibility of this, but do you think Vince might actually contact Matt? Now that they did the split there would be room for him, even in the upper card of SD.
>>1560871
>I take the business of memeing very seriously
>There is a wrong and right way to do this
>>1561184
Brutally embarrassing.
I can't believe that I actually like Matt Hardy in the year 2016.
>>1558022
You can hear Jericho laughing quietly a few times.
Just listened to it. Can't believe Matt kept that accent up for one and a half hours. Fucking based.

This is also a legitimate usage of the longer podcast.
Only the shut-ins who think they are forbidden from enjoying 1hr+ podcasts because they never go outdoors are mules.
>>1561668
It's an 45 minute or so walk to the grocery store so long podcasts are a blessing

They don't. Only autistic kiddies and manlets do.
Nobody knows who he is anymore, and the meme will die in a month or so. Already started to.
>>1561898
>This might be the saddest post I've seen on /asp/
That is two posts you degenerate hillbilly.
Im not even super into mandrama anymore but listening to this made me believe it can be fun again. Broken Matt is greatest thing to happen in the industry right because it is legitimately entertaining. It may be ridiculous but it sure as hell more interesting than what Mac mahon considers storylines lately
>>1561906
He is no meme. I don't understand this tragedy, this tragedy that one anonymous poster on the internet can have his eyes so far shut to the truth. He is the leader to our salvation
>>1561898
Hi brother Nero!
>>1561827
>mfw

>>1562005
Talking like that doesn't help your case, it just makes you look stupid.
>>1562519
>You will never be this upset that something fun and interesting is getting the wrestling world talking and it's not in your daddy Vince's playpen.
Feels good.
>>1562542
>Bringing up Vince randomly.
Looks like you love him more.
>>1562552
Your tears sustain me.
>Broken Matt made 400,000 people figure out how the hell to get pop TV.
>B-but it's bad y-you guys.
I bought a tasteful green Senor Benjamin tee shirt. Because Broken Matt deserves some income for his genius, but Vince's product has made me too embarrassed to wear a recognisably wrestling shirt out in public.
>>1562563
>>1562582
>An ms paint picture is his rebuttal to the fact that big money Matt made actual documented money.
Obligatory.
>>1562574
I know that feeling.
Holy shit matt hardy is blowing smarks the fuck out. His broken brilliance is gonna save wrestling #BrokenUniverse
based matt btfo the spot monkey flippy midgets
Literally nobody gives a shit about this. I can make a reference to any other wrestling related thing and get replies but not this garbage.
>This is what the future of the English language looks like
Literally burst out laughing at that point.
