Tai Chi gives you base and the ability to unbalance others so ya, but its pretty specialised so you'd need to cross train to get any sort of solid skillset going on. Most people in normal fights are utter retards though so it's not like you need much technique as a whole.
Anything besides boxing wrestling bjj muay thai judo sambo kick boxing and escrima is just wrong. At least against somone who is not a push over

You really fucked that, boy.

Wow, dude. I totally get it now. I was wrong to ever bash on Tai chi. All it took was for someone to once again repost some video where a guy gets thrown (seemingly staged, too), but this time change the title to say tai chi. Legit proof. Good job.

didn't seem staged to me

Krav Maga is probably the best noncompetitive martial art around. It's still worse than any sports style, including points sparring karate, Tae Kwon Do, and sumo which are the lowest tier sporting martial arts.
So if you want to be in an art where no one has any records, trophies, or tournament rankings that almost somewhere has a connection to the real world, do Krav Maga.

didnt look packed to me. the seats were taken but there was plenty of standing room.
Guess it could be faked but I'm not going to automatically assume it is
"no"

If you've been training for 5 years you can make a slow guy fall

>but this time change the title to say tai chi.
>not knowing that was the original title

>Awfully convenient that the whole train car is packed except where those two were doing their dance.
yeah because people always stand in front of the doorway all the time even though it pisses people off because they get in the damn way it's not like there's rules about not standing in front of the door people even could've backed away from them so they didn't get hit in the crossfire
>>1555162
thats fucking judo

Tai Otoshi
is what the move is called
>>1559331
that throw exists in every traditional martial art

>yeah because people always stand in front of the doorway all the time even though it pisses people off because they get in the damn way it's not like there's rules about not standing in front of the door
this post demonstrates a lack of fundamental understanding of chinese people.

It's just the Japanese translation of Tai Chi. The Japanese stole the Chinese people's alphabet in the first place, along with their martial arts.

Not the modern tai chi. That was created by the government to simplify the forms so the people could have a national form for excersise and health. America should do this. But in doing so, it took out a lot of what made it work.
