People only really disliked him because he was pushed to the moon for absolutely no reason when he was green, people with actual talent deserved it more.
He's improved heaps and bounds but the initial push has a lingering effect with the fans. Cena at the top when people didn't want him caused backlash too and look at the crowd's reaction when he went to the midcard, alot of them started to like Cena simply because he didn't deserve that spot at the time.

This is the best place for Roman until people forgive him, then they can slowly push him again.
