Was he a draw?

No, he wasn't, but he put in his time

Literally forged an entire career out of hanging and banging with Hogan. Zero talent. Zero buys.
I can't say about how he drew in terms of attendances, but as one of the few 80s fans posting here I can confirm that Brother Bruti was one of the most merchandised wrestlers of that era.
Hogan, Warrior, Savage, Jake Roberts, Brutus the Barber. Those were the guys on everything, and all my wrestle friends had his action figure.
I don't necessarily think it's fair, as he just had a recognisable gimmick, but was shitty as a wrestler. But I would think he made megabucks from merch sales around that time.
Hogan was the draw you cuck

Even I had his figure and I don't think I ever saw him wrestle, as this was around the time of his accident. I must have seen him at the awful Wrestlemania in Vegas when he returned but I remember nothing about it.
That said he was easily recognisable, so I wouldn't be surprised at him making his money from merch. Can't blame the guy, I'd take advantage of being Hogans bitch if I could.
