So if I talk in the "past" about WW2 would I have nostalgia about it, if I wasn't even born yet and have had no good thoughts or bias towards WW2?

2011-2014

>By far the highest overall match quality
>Shit hot four pillars main event scene with Cena, Punk, Orton and Bryan that produced two legendary year long feuds
>The return of The Rock, and his 'real life heat' feud with Cena that kick started the reality era .
>The return of Brock Lesnar and his push as the final boss, featuring epic matches with Cena and Punk
>Epic Undertaker feuds with Triple H and Brock Lesnar
>The Shield and The Wyatts killing it in the midcard with great matches week after week.
>Strong Midcard acts like Team Hell No, R-Truth, Miz, Mark Henry, Rusev, Dolph Ziggler, The Real Americans
>Aj, Paige and Nikki forming a decent womens division and leading a proto-divas revolution
>The rise of NXT as a sub-brand

The fact that you are reading this thread is proof that this was a great era - if it wasn't, why are sufficiently hot on wrestling to be reading /asp/?

Attitude Era or Ruthless Aggression Era
>>
Attitude era until 2000 was legitimately the best.
Golden Era close second.
New Generation and Ruthless Aggression tied for being a let down considering the great talent available.

1996 - early Attitude was best. Lots of people here only old enough to have seen RA so they like it even though it had absolute shit storylines and horrible ratings.

I'm 26, I lived through the attitude era, ruthless agression era, PG era

I watched a few golden age matches on the network and watched old smokey mountain wrestling.

Plus after rewatching the attitude era, I just realized how much it was more of a trash soap opera for red necks it was with little wrestling.

Ruthless Agression brought us both an even balance of actual wrestling and entertainment.

I'd say I give a slight edge to Ruthless Aggression with Attitude era not far behind. Attitude era was great for things we never saw before and pushing the envelope for entertainment at the time, but the product was infinitely inferior. Watching Austin, Rock and Trips rest holding their way to victory was only so fun before you started to realize their matches were all mostly the same.

Storyline wise RA fell behind, but the in ringwork was amazing and told fantastic stories and there were great rivalries with multiple wrestlers clicking together in the ring and making some of the most memorable matches in the company's history.

I give it to RA because it was the most fun to watch in it's entirety while Attitude era was great watching the skits and segments but checking out happened often during the matches.

I watched the shit out of it, hell I got into wrestling because of Kane's debut at badd blood. Sorry dude, maybe you're the fag who acts like his heyday has to be the best, not the other way around.
>>
>>1535619
The RA was an extremely pale imitation of the Attitude Era. They lost all their megastars like Austin, Rock, DX, they lost the WWF name, they lost the momentum with the fans that the AE had, they lost the competition with WCW which made them lazy like they are now, the storylines were unfocused and disjointed

I can appreciate good wrestling but I'm not a mark for it, at the end of the day it is still heavily choreographed fake fighting. It is caring about the characters and storylines that make the show and the Attitude era/NWO era is basically untouchable in that respect

>I'm 26

You act like all RA storylines were horrible and that's false. Like I said the quality in storylines fell a bit, but the product improved in the ring and in my opinion provided a good balance. Say what you will about the in ring ultimately not mattering, but we've seen our fair share of good story tellers not be able to get on TV because they were a hot mess in the ring. The exact same thing can be said in reverse, it's fake fighting but notice how fighting is still a part of it. People still want to see bad guys get the tar beaten out of them eventually. Making nothing but drama and a male soap leads to Smackdown overtaking Raw in ratings back in the early 2000s.

AE isn't untouchable just because muh ratings because a lot of factors went into that besides the product as late 2000s TNA found out. AE's shit stank just as much as everyone else's. RA's ratings don't come close, but it's not like they were complete shit and let's be real, nothing is going to touch those ratings. It was a phenomena that wrestling probably won't see for a long time, that doesn't mean anything can't be good before or after nor does it mean it didn't have it's own chinks in its armor.

Attitude Era
>>
I'm not sure why, but looking back at 90s WWF, it seems like an empty memory, like nothing really happened or mattered, it was just kind of there. I don't get this feeling with WCW, or with WWE post-2002, just with the period from 97 to 2001.

It just seems like a dark, vacuous time in wrestling, despite the ratings. Maybe I was molested around that time or something.

Obvious answer is Attitude. No denying it. But other than that Ruthless was amazing. It was the last time you saw this company trying to give the viewers a good time. There was so much memorable shit and I actually was being entertained. Unfortunately the company devolved into a smark circlejerk where they stopped trying to entertain and and have storylines, but rather just focus on """""good""""" wrestling.
