The July 25th 2016 edition of RAW, which was the first of the new brand split era, did 3.339 million viewers overall. This is up from last week's 3.133 million viewers.

>Below is the hourly breakdown:
8PM: 3.412M viewers
9PM: 3.350M viewers
10PM: 3.254M viewers

http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-monday-cable-originals-network-finals-7-25-2016.html

For reference
>The 2016 Democratic National Convention from Philadelphia opened with a very strong 25.8 million persons 2+ across the three broadcast networks and three main cable news channels in the 10 pm ET hour, when Michelle Obama, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders spoke. This audience is more than 3 million ahead of last Monday’s first night of the RNC in Cleveland and ahead of the comparable night for every RNC and DNC the last two cycles.

Cool. Let's hope they keep these ratings (along with the quality of the show) up.

Not feeling so optimistic with Smackdown, to be honest.

Third hour always goes down. Having 3 hours drives out casuals.

Can someone go to a meeting event and bring a "Anti-Smark Tears" mug to take a picture of Balor drinking from it? That would come in handy.

HAAHAHA

THE NEW ERA

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>these shit ratings

Push Roman before it's too late. He is the only draw. 4 (four) million viewers

>WWE has been dealing with historically low viewership for Monday Night Raw for a number of weeks, what with stiff competition from Monday Night Football and a fan base fed up with low quality television. That said, the company seemed to turn it around with a spectacular TLC pay-per-view (PPV) on Sunday night that closed with a super hot angle -- Roman Reigns destroying everyone, including Triple H -- to build to a highly anticipated follow up the next night on Raw.

>It worked.

>Viewers were up big this week, shooting all the way up to 3.88 million viewers. Last week's show drew just 3.05 million viewers.

>The hourly breakdown shows just how invested fans were:

Hour one: 4.04 million
Hour two: 3.78 million
Hour three: 3.82 million

No he won't, Balor will be the new Daniel Bryan with an Undertaker gimmick.
Roman is finished, yea he might carry the top belt as a transitional champ a couple times but him having a legit run as the top guy is gone
>>
>>1522607
They put on a great raw and its after a ppv. These ratings should be much closer to 4 mill. If smackdown falls flat on its face things are going to get messy.
>>
>>1522628
this, pretty pathetic for the start of a 'new' era. it's downright average. fans are leaving permanently, they will never get above 4.0 again
>>
>>1522641
The thing with show quality is that it retains viewers, a great show doesn't usually get big rises, but it makes sure there won't be big drops.
These ratings are pretty good and the show was good enough that I see them at the very least retaining this number next week.

They're are for nowadays.

Most people are slowly quiting tv by the years regardless of quality.

So many more hobbys out there now that wasn't even around during the 90s you can waste time on.
>>
>>1522607
when was the last time they got 4million viewers? lol
>>
>>1522589
>Let's hope they keep these ratings (along with the quality of the show) up.

>>
>>1522649
I'm sure Balor is 5 foot 9, the average height of most Americans. Dbry was really 5 foot 7.
>>
>>1522607
Literally every normie that watches wrestling in my town likes Roman.

Smarks like to ignore the casuals opinion because it takes the spot light off their Irish pornstar
>>
>>1522650

This. I mean, I'd watch RAW if I bothered still having cable, but there is no need to pay $120 a month to watch RAW.
>>
>>1522650
No, they aren't. Stupid smark apologist. NBA broke ratings records this year.

And I guess the 3mill viewer ratings are good 'nowadays' last year too and then Roman blew it out the water with 4 million viewers. Idiot
>>
>>1522653
Average American is 5'10''. Nice try manlet
>>
>>1522666
Ratings are down all over, but sports don't count.

Still down compared to tv ratings during the 90'sor even 50's.

Normies don't care about fake sports until society says it ok to like. Hence every fad boom fad period WWE had so far since the 80's.

People want hand egg.
>>
>>1522666
>NBA broke ratings records this year.

That, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead are the only shows that break ratings now a days, the rest is drowning.
>>
>>1522675
walking dead and game of thrones break records. your argument is invalid. big bang theory too
>>
>>1522679

Handful of shows, also none of them can get the ratings decades ago like 30.0.

You are delusional if you think WWE can get high rating in this day and age if so called good booking, wrestling is a niche market for fanboys.

Normies wouldn't even watch it even it got booked the way some random wanted on the Internet, it's peaked for good.
>>
>>1522666
HHH was cleary the reason that show got 4 million in ratings, all the other Roman feuds had ratings lower than what Seth drew as champ
>>
>>1522689
HHH wasn't even on the show
>>
I don't hate Roman, but it's obvious most fans don't want him, his reactions and boos are far worse an any Cena era.

He should be heel, and there's nothing wrong with that IMO, wwe lacks a bad ass heel main event per who can draw boos.

Seth Rollins is too..ehh.

>>1522691
Doesn't matter, he was still less of a draw than Seth.
>>
>>1522686
This is exactly the wrong attitude. Wrestling isn't niche and it never was, only smarks pretend it is. Wrestlemania is a huge event every year. Good booking can raise the ratings to something respectable. We finally saw what we wanted Roman to be after TLC and it boosted the ratings to 4 mil viewers. Then Roman got shit booking again and never returned to his bad ass ass kicking phase. Then he lost the belt to fucking Triple H. Horrendous.

Roman is the most popular guy on Raw now by far. Good logical booking can put the ratings back up - not to attitude era ratings but to 2009/2010 ratings at least. He's much more popular than guys like CM Punk to the casuals.
>>
>>1522711
Also keep in mind Seth had to compete with Monday Night Football for two months during his reign and Deans record low rating came on a holiday where everybody is outside their house lighting fireworks...

What's Roman's excuse for his record low rating?
>>
>>1522711
Oh wow, versus the first elimination game in the record high NBA finals where every casual watched. Even I didn't watch the show and watched the game instead, because someone could have won the fucking chip right there.

Meanwhile Seth gets literal record low ratings, and Dean got THE RECORD LOW RATING for a raw without any major sports competition. It was also the first Raw since Roman's suspension kek. really makes you think
>>
>>1522720
This. Big Dog is the only way. Unleash him as a heel.
>>
>>1522734
>After last week's current day strong RAW number following the surprising Dean Ambrose WWE title win, ratings came down for the Monday, June 27th edition of the show on a night without strong television competition.

>Raw did 3.09 million viewers, the lowest number on a night without major team sports competition since 1997 . That's the second lowest numbers outside of football season or major holidays, beating only the 2.96 million viewers drawn two weeks ago against game five of the NBA playoffs.

what's dean's excuse? also note this is the first raw without roman

Raws been doing just fine in the 3 point ratings have been since pre 2006.
You guys make every weeks rating mean something when if you actually look at the raw ratings they bounce throughout each year between low and high threes usually averaging 3.3 to 3.6
Find a chart on the internet and prove me wrong. The ratings have held at a somewhat consistent level for ten plus years.
Also.
You do realize that tv in general will never see the amazing high ratings it used to.
In a world where everything is streamed, theres millions of shows to watch on tv at any given moment, there are 1000s of channels that 16 years ago didnt exist.
And now how many people even fully watch what they watch, everyone just looks at their phones.
>>
>>1522747

there have been plenty of Raws on national holidays, including July 4th, in the last 20 years and none of them drew below a 2.0 before Deanetty
>>
>>1522720
Wrestling is niche as they come, they took elements of popular culture and the next big thing to become famous. And bandwagon fans.

Booking desu is subjective, there always going to be people who scoff at how lowbrow wrestling can be.

Roman however is no Hogan or Stonecold, all he is a handsome guy..not good enough.

just because it isn't as popular as before doesn't mean it's niche. it's still popular and fills 12,000+ seats every week. is going to the theatre niche because it has record low attendance numbers now and that no movie has made more money than Gone with the Wind?

My point being no matter how hard you try to prove it Roman is on the same level of Dean and Seth in terms of drawing. even worse because he was the champ around WM time and the ratings were still pathetic. AND Balor is one the main roster 1 week so of course he isnt gonna draw 10 milion viewers. stone cold didnt do it in 1995
