This has only really happened once, with Finn. And honestly, Finn's nothing special. Better than Roman, for sure, but not a top 5 or anything like that.
And even so, the bar only gets raised as high as WWE puts it. They wrestle a formulaic style that shackles their capabilities, so people like Reigns can go out there and get crowds chanting "this is awesome".
I hope you're right, and I hope the bar raises. But I don't see them ditching someone they were so intent on outright, and I don't see fans suddenly developing tastes befitting Humans and not pigs.

If their intention is to make me not mind Roman, then they have already succeeded with the past two PPV's and this Raw.

I've never had a problem with Roman Reigns in the ring. Sure, he isn't Seth Rollins or AJ Styles, but his selling is fine, his offense looks good and he can be carried to a pretty good match by anyone with talent.

My only problem is that he was booked as the new John Cena, and I hate that kind of booking. Babyfaces who are leagues above everyone else and can never be beat fair and square by anyone. When you want them to lose, you have someone cheat them against them or them getting distracted or some shit like that. That shit pisses me the fuck off. I see the pattern and it takes away all excitement from all the matches.

He doesn't have that problem anymore now that he actually gets beat once in a while. Hell, the Pedigree was enough for me, the Dirty Deeds was certainly a nice surprise. Him losing to Finn was unexpected, but it's not like he was buried either, because he showed dominance in the Fatal Four Way before it. Either ways, if he starts winning matches now and gets a shot at the title down the line, I'm not gonna be bothered by it anymore, not even if he wins. I just don't want him to be leagues above everyone else.
