Watch any of the other post-draft interviews and they're pretty much all the same--awkward as fuck.

When people say they want wrestlers to have more freedom on the mic, they don't mean they want them to completely improvise everything they say--that would be a mess. They mean they want them to write the majority of their own material, to be given a few basic talking points that they then weave into during their promos. Punk's pipebomb promo--the one that everyone loved--was exactly this.

As it stands right now, you're given a full, word-for-word script written by a room full of lazy, failed writers who have never set foot inside a wrestling ring. All your lines are written for you, you can't deviate at all, and everyone winds up sounding like identical fucking robots. Some guys might genuinely need to have all their stuff written for them, but everyone else would benefit tremendously from getting more creative control.
