1. freestyle wrestling
it teaches you to have control over your opponent's body and how to drop them on cement, after than just learn a striking art. it doesn't really matter which but boxing would be the best since most strikes will be punches.

Muay Thai covers both grappling and striking if you want to save some time, but a boxer/ wrestler will be a more complete skill set desu.

you wont get the best of training sure but depending on where you are in the US there's certainly no shortage of places to learn, a lot of NCAA guys teach adults after college.

For self defense you need to know what to do on the ground, from striking range and from shooting range. Pick a striking art, a grappling art and a gun and you are all set.

For self defnese, short low kicks can hurt an opponents leg and keep him at bay. High kicks like in your pic are retard tier and will get you grabbed and taken down.
