R-truth could of been a decent mid card heel with his crazy gimmick but nobody believed for a second that he had a chance, the match is god awful as well, it's just twenty minutes of r truth striking Cena, and pinning him the only grappling that he gives us is a 2 minute headlock, crowd is dead the whole way through
I love based Cena but this was just awful

This era was just past the apex of Cena's reign of terror. There was so much stuff with big potential around this time, most of which ultimately flopped. Punk's storyline could've been great had they kept him off TV longer. Nash could've been used better. The Authority angle, employees walking out, no confidence etc could've led somewhere. And Truth should have held the title briefly. Despite his age he's as good as Sheamus. Instead, his entire angle was buried in order to promote Twice in a Lifetime.

Wasn't this that terrible feud where Orton got lawyers going on about some made up mental illness he had so no one could fire him so Triple H, all mad and shit, decided to wrestle him, and even though this was a blood feud the only rule was that Triple H would lose the title on a DQ?

That ended in a decent RAW main event of a match where nothing of note really happened and ended with TRIPLEHWINSLOL? That capped off an extremely long card that only seemed to get more Who Gives A Fuck as it dragged on?

Damn shame the show was utter shit, in large part because Rock WOULD NOT shut up and ate into time that could have been used for actual matches with angles and builds that had been going on longer than Rock had been in the company.

The belt progression is messy but the most linear is

-> NWA -> WCW -> World Heavyweight Championship (WWE) -> WWE World Heavyweight Championship (Post unification -> WWE Championship (The title currently on Ambrose).

But it gets messier than that because an arguement can be made that the NWA title split before the end of the belt itself, as a title match was always a 2/3 falls match with a time limit, but it was once passed on a single fall and Vince's dad got butthurt about it, hired the ex-champ and stuck a new title on him and claimed it was the rightful championship.

That pregressed to being the WWE World Heavyweight championship (The belt that was unified with the WCW belt in that Orton vs Cena match that no one gives a shit about).

So, arguably, Big Show has held the NWA title (in both it's linear progression, as well as the McMahon WWWF progression) forms.

TNA is nothing, forget TNA.
