What's with the Rising Sun?

I get the Gas Mask and Swords are an indirect ode to the Skull and Guns of BC, but is the Rising Sun necessary? We get it, they're from Japan with the Kanji on their clothing. That shit is so off-putting.

Gear aside, anyone else think the Club is finally getting into gear after a VERY awkward start? Styles apologetic unapologetic dickbag bit was pretty solid heel work, and the type of thing that got Bullet Club over in Japan, all they need now is to legitimize Karl and Luke a bit and a noun to put before Club, because the way it is they sound like ten-year olds in a treehouse.
