It COULD have been gold but I have absolutely zero faith in that company or its writers to make it anything but extremely cheesy and lame. You should probably also give the gimmick to a guy who knows what the fuck he is talking about since if it was treated as "Guy using social engineering to hijack control of the truck so he had a platform to push his agenda." instead of "DUDE COMPUTER MAGIC LMAO." it might have been neat.

The guy had the look, voice and I thought he had potential. Guess it wasn't really much of a gimmick,since he really did do like a decade in prison. But I do recall hearing he was so convincing in character,that a lot of the locker room guys were really scared of him.

I never thought that gimmick fit him very well. He should have been a "super-athlete" type who ran around doing things a guy his size shouldn't be able to do and found his way from there. His ring work became noticeably more methodical and less charismatic when he showed up as the devil's advocate.

The problem with Jones, aside from the fact he couldn't wrestle worth a damn, was that so little of the character was actually a gimmick. He's not a crook anymore but the bit about being an uneducated (well, dyslexic) roided up backwoods aussie was him to a tee.

Apparently he's a pretty nice guy out of character, just not the smartest of the bunch.
