Is there really any winning for Phil here? Even in the unlikely scenario that he manages to win, everyone would just say it's a scam anyway.

he'll never actually fight.
well, since i'm getting in before the shitposting, i'll throw in my two cents.
punk and gall will fight this summer, barring any injury between either of them. they've already started filming the promo work for it.
that being said, this is really a no-win situation.
mickey gall is an animal, damn good fighter. if punk beats him, he gets a tougher opponent that will just murder him in round one. ends his career 1-1, because you know if he wins his first fight, he isn't going to just let his contract expire this december with a 1-0 record, and he won't be 2-0.
now, if he loses, that's a worse story. two years of buildup for him to get knocked out in round one. it'll be really embarrassing for him and he won't go for another fight and risk retiring 0-2.
he might come back to wwe, but maybe not. not really what we're talking about.
personally, i think the best thing for him to do, strictly for saving face, is to not fight. get another surgery, fix your body up. say you couldn't clear for ufc, let the contract expire, go back to wwe for more money and with your pride.
he put himself in a really bad spot, apparently his training isn't coming along as well as it should, but that's just age. if he had quit in 2011, fought in 2012. he might would have stood some kind of chance, but there's no point in thinking about the road not taken.
anyway, guys, just my opinion.
hope you all are having a nice memorial day!
