Alex Riley did have some good moments when he was under the guidance of the Miz, but as soon as he stepped out of the shadow of the Great One, he was badly exposed and would soon fade into obscurity. It speaks volumes of the Miz's ability that he was able to work the audience into cheering someone with as little as charisma and wrestling abilty as Riley. Of course as soon as Riley's rivaly with the Miz ended there was no one with enough ability to carry him in further feuds, causing his popularity in the WWE to plummet.

I suppose the moral of this story is, if the Miz can't make you into a star, then no one can. He did, after all, turn that 5'3 no charisma midget Daniel Bryan into a wrestlemania main eventer. Could anyone have seen Stone Cold do that? The Rock? Didn't think so.
