Honestly, the three way feud into Mania was probably the best and hottest angle they had going. But the blistering shitmongers did the ONLY thing they could possibly do to ruin it and put Charlotte over.

The heel had a months long championship run full of weaseling out of fair fights and winning dirty, had plenty of heat on her, and had finally run out of rope going into the blowoff show for a Triple Threat. I'm not sure they ever expected Becky to get quite as over as she did. She was older than pretty much every other NXT women's recruit who wasn't Ric Flair's transvestite "daughter." She had a history of injuries, including a head injury that was thought to be career ending.

I imagine they brought her in once she was cleared from the head injury because she's REALLY good at wrestling and would be handy to help develop those like Bayley who were younger and less experienced, and just to pad out the NXT roster.

Definitely. She was never intended to be more than talent enhancement like Natalya had been for years. Bayley should be an underdog. It'll be weird to see as someone who watched her dominate NXT for months but it's the best way to go since most people won't have seen her there. She's either gonna flop or be really big. I don't see a middle ground.

I think in terms of how hot she was coming out of NXT, they've really not done enough with her.

Her first 6 months were spent doing fuck all except twerking with the new day.

Then she got a huge pop at the rumble, was meant to be the hot face to finally beat Charlotte but no-one besides the smark crowd actually bought into her as a face and despite her mic work being a supposed strong suit, she got shown up by Becky and Charlotte constantly, leading to them having to put Becky into a match that she definitely wasn't originally planned for and ending with Charlotte winning the belt which no-one really expected.

Then after that match she's been on TV twice whilst Emma, Becky, Natalya and Charlotte have been getting way more opportunities.

She's been booked horribly but the opportunities she has had since the Royal Rumble I feel like she hasn't made the most of.
