I stopped watching wrestling around the time Linda McMahon ran for Senate, for obvious reasons. Decided to watch 'Mania and the Raw afterwards to see how things are going and was pleased for the most part.

Here's my question. What's with Roman? Is he hated because he sucks (frankly he seems pretty average to me based on his match with HHH, but at lease he's no Great Kahli) or because he's getting a Cena-esque push over more deserving guys?

Yeah, I remember when they made JR describe Cena as "the most controversial star in the WWE" when he was feuding with HHH and getting booed out of buildings. But my point is that Cena at least moved product. The kids would show up because they loved him (remember, kids have to be warned not to eat paint or stick their fingers into light sockets) and the smarks would show up because it was fun to fuck with him.

Roman is a main-eventer with X-Pac heat. How is that even possible? I can't imagine anybody's buying his gear, which is a big reason why Cena's push never ended, and he looks like a beaten puppy out there. Where's the money in this for WWE?
