Shane's offence was fine considering his age and taker's age, he was speedy and hit some badass spots.

The spot was such a cool moment that it made up for the second half of the match in my opinion, hteres nothing wrong with two old guys leading to an awesome spot that they really shouldnt be doing,

A mark is someone who cares less about that, and more about enjoying the specific event they watch. I went into this not really caring about the storylines going forward and more about what was exciting and interesting in the story they told in the ring. I understand what their original meanings are. IF you read my post you see that I deal with your point. The concept of a smark has evolved beyond this very basic concept to something a bit more.

Since the "veil" got lifted on the business nobody thinks waht they are seeing is real. So now, a mark is someone who essentially does what Vince wants them to do i.e. cheers who he wants them to cheer, doesnt have their own opinion about how the show should be booked. Conversely, a smark is someone who is invested less in the show as presented, but in their own preferences. They believe they know hoiw the show should be booked and will voice that opinion either in the crowd or on the internet.

IF you take my definitions, they essentially act like the original meanings, but their roots are different.

I'm not entirely clear on the concept of a mark or a smark because it fucking changes. I'd rather avoid the branding.

I have the guys I like, I have the guys I don't like. I get invested in storylines and matches, I admire and get excited when great wrestling goes down. I hate it when my guys lose and hate it when my guys win. I get frustrated with the company for ignoring the writing on the wall and frustrated when they push their own narrative. Booking and performance go hand in hand and having either one suck can ruin the other. There are those that I feel deserve more and those I feel that deserve less. I feel strongly that I can be this way and still enjoy and invest in the product but I can also feel dejected and uninterested at times.

Call me what you will based off that, but someone will look at that and call me a smark and talk about butthurt I must be about Roman Reigns and fuck me for having different opinions, I should just stop watching and stop bitching.
