Do you like this movie?

I really liked it before I got into wrestling, though I wonder if I rewatch it if I won't get a higher appreciation for it.

pretty good. It's about a wrestler who was big in the 80s but struggles to get by 20 years later. The directing is very "realistic," a lot of single camera scenes and all that. It's a pretty dramatic character-portrait I would say. I think most of the wrestling related scenes are in locker rooms or independent circuit type shows. Some of the characters are kind of based off real wrestlers, like the iron sheik

It's a really good film showing the dark side of the business without also burying the entire industry. Pretty realistic.

Didn't like the ending because it made not a lot of sense from the bookers side. Like they should have known he had a heart attack and was in bad shape, yet they let him fight? The fuck? But overall other than that, a good film.

There's basically no level of risk that you can't find a promoter to take on. People have wrestled through serious injuries. Terry Gordy was back wrestling while still in recovery for a brain-damage inducing stroke. Hell, they were talking about letting Hayabusa, Mr decade in a wheelchair, get back into the ring before he died.
