kevin obese owens is fat shit head and I hope he has heart attacking soon
(political correctness shift thread)
The "political incorrectness" of the Attitude Era was legitimate.
So was the "PG" of the era of Hogan.
The change you're speaking of would not be legitimate. Much like the current "PG" era, it would just be another form of pandering to a mob.
Prior to the rise of Cena, stars drew in their own right to a diverse audience and not merely as the representative of a demographic, as Cena, Orton, CM Punk, and Bryan all are, and tried to gain credibility as wrestlers rather than as the voice of their own fans.
Stone Cold's career is a perfect example of this.
If someone tried to do the same things he did today, not only would it not be appreciated, but people wouldn't understand what he's doing. That's why the closest thing is Dean Ambrose's antics, which is likewise a perfect example of the dumbed down pandering.
I always watch it with my brothers and sisters and we have some lols, but I'm more looking forward to the food. I haven't eaten any shit in awhile, so I might have some jack or a buffalo chicken calzone, nachos or pizza
>sitting out bans
He broke his ankle doing a baseball slide and a msicommunication resulted in Jericho and Naitch getting into it for real. Jericho wanted to end the match with a rollup but it didn't go that way so he got angry.
Reply to this post with a picture describing what wwe would look like if hunter didn't bang the boss's daughter
Do people actually like ryback? I saw him win a match and run away quickly, what was that? Trying to be speedy el Goldberg? His finisher is shit, you can't even argue with this. His matches aren't good. He can't cut a promo. There's no reason to like him 2016
Yes people actually love the ryback. Do people actually like Kevin owens? He's Fat, Moveset is basically Dolph ziggler 2.0, and his promos are the shitters
Are there really people who thought the Rock was better than Austin during the Attitude Era and better today, or is it just a meme?
There are a lot of strange and unfounded beliefs in the IWC - such as that NXT is good - but this one has to be a joke.
There's not much that the Rock could do that Austin couldn't.
At their prime they were pretty much exactly equal. Austin was probably a "better" wrestler, but his character is more of a brawler so that doesn't really matter.
Austin was better, but I didn't see that as a kid and I liked Rock more. Maybe it's because I'm not American, but I never connected to Austin's character that much. I liked The Rock, Kane, Undertaker, Foley and maybe even Angle more than him.
In hindsight, he is the absolute GOAT.
so we can expect a Wyatt's run in at Mania .... goodie
>finally finish downloading 2k16
>alright let's do showcase mode
>finish the HoF one rather quickly, not very enjoyable
>start doing the Austin one
>currently finished WM15 match and I'm only 51% done (didn't do the bonus matches yet)
Jesus, this one is long. Fucking long, really.
But overally the game seems to work smoother compared to 2k15 and I can FINALLY turn off the shitty blur completely, that also helps.
Reversals having a bar is shit though
Is there anyone left on the roster legitimately worth rooting for?
I uses to only like the new day but their brony shit is getting out of control
Just watched NXT. Anyone else think American Alpha could be one of the best tag teams of the decade? They've been better than Cesaro and Kidd in-ring in my opinion, and they have more charisma. I also love that they've given them a joint gimmick so early, same outfit, same music, an actual name etc. Main roster tag division will be hot shit when them and Enzo & Cass move up.
It is fucking long, from what I checked it's 25 matches + bonus ones. I really just want to unlock everything on the way too.
Shame most matches boil down to "damage whoever you're wrestling" "irish whip him in the ring and perform a QTE" while watching millions of cutscenes.
Guess I will. I mean the concept of it is not bad as it technically forces the match to not be so one sided but in reality it becomes fucking annoying.
>tfw you get a "perform your finisher" objective and some fucker constantly keeps reversing your signature move
>Thread entitled: "The Rock Sucks"
>DX is Dead
>Is stone Cold dying out
>There's some word going around that there may be some sort of political reason for WWE not bothering to promote the NXT Takeover: Dallas special on April 1.
you don't say...
Honestly, no. I'm going and really don't give a shit about this years card.
The rumor is there will be 11 matches and yet, barely any are getting the proper spotlight.
It's pretty much last year all over again with no direction and just trying to sell Wrestlemania on its name alone.
I'll need to try and dig up the one I found about the IWC discussing Hogan turning heel
It's literally a copy and paste of the Cena turns heel thing
Oh yeah, IWC favourites during the attitude era were Chris Jericho and Test
Styles vs Jericho
Usos vs Dudleyz
ND vs LoN
Shane vs Taker
Roman vs Triple H
Brock vs Dean
Goldust + Truth vs Social Outcasts?
Divas Triple Threat
Lana vs Brie divas 6 PLAYA tag
Geek Battle Royale
Owens vs Zayn
God this is so awful when listed all out
>Miz and Ziggler will probably be involved.
>Very good question. I think I *might* have a *little* respect for
him. Since I'm mainly a heel fan, it's like asking if Bill Laimbeer
was traded to the Bulls. Of course the Bulls fans will welcome him.
And vice versa. If Michael Jordan was traded to the Pistons, of
course they'd welcome him (not me, I'm a true Pistons fan, and I
LOATHE Airless Jordan). But anyways...
...I *might* have *some* respect for him...
There's nothing that Hogan can do to gain my respect, unless he
I hate Hulk Hogan, so should you.
No, the fact of the matter is still that he is a two move person.
(Big Ol' Boot, Big Ol' Leg) If he starts to job some, and he develops
some wrestling skills, then maybe. I don' think I have to worry about
>If Michael Jordan was traded to the Pistons, of
>course they'd welcome him (not me, I'm a true Pistons fan, and I LOATHE Airless Jordan)
Is this some old IWC shit?
They were even cringier back then, holy shit. What a fag.
>Deanetty vs Brock
>Divas triple threat
Only matches on the ccard worth watching. Owens vs Zayn probably won't happen and the ending for Shane vs Taker will inevitably be pants on head retarded.
>Owens vs Zayn probably won't happen
>and the ending for Shane vs Taker will inevitably be pants on head retarded.
>Not getting a kick out of WWE's self-harming stupidity.
That's half the reason to watch the WWE.
>Me while watching NXT this week
Is the highlight of WWE's week really going to be Ziggler vs. HHH? Jesus.
>The Icon, Mr. TNA and Mr. WCW has decided to retire as many close to him have told TMZ that his neck has made it "physically impossible for him to recuperate".
>The injury was sustained at The Night of Champions event, against Seth Rollins, where he took a nasty bump whilst crashing through the announce table as well as the buckle bomb.
>Sting being inducted into the Hall of Fame and him headlining it is a perfect way for his career to end, he has been working full time for so many years and his 21 year career has come to an end.
>It's been reported that he may have nerve problems and heavy discomfort if he decides to continue, which is what forced another legend Edge to retire as well.
Because they booked themselves into a corner where it has to be the main event no matter what.
The whole storyline is Triple H and Stephanie will be out of power if Shane wins, which he clearly is.
If Triple H comes out after that match, he looks weak. Who gives a shit about the title match at that point (not that anyone does really)?
That would make sense, but I do not see Triple H allowing himself to be overshadowed at the biggest Wrestlemania of all time. He's already had way more main events than he should have and I see him continuing that this year.
I don't have an issue with that if it's the right people.
Giving definitive pay-off to such a heated rivalry between two guys with the fantastic chemistry of Zayn and Owens off a one-month build would be criminal, anyway.
A multi-man to tease their rivalry and get it over on a grand stage is pretty wise, long-term.
You have to remember that arguing the term "Legend" in the WWE is a bit farcical.
They literally refer to everyone that used to wrestle for them as a "Legend". They plaster that word on everyone just to make it seem momentous when they shill for them.
That said, Edge is a legit legend.
>literally involve a WWE event to the plotline
>not having Dolph and Kane play kayfabe versions of themselves moonlighting as police detectives
this fucking company
>Smarks: Creative's booking has no logic
>Muh internet darling debuts
>Smarks: WAAAH GIVE IT TO ME NOW
This. I don't see why people are in such a rush for Zayn/Owens when its obvious that they're going to wrestle each other for the next 5 years. Plus, Zayn just debuted and just telling casuals about his history with Owens will mean dick. Sasha's also going to suffer because of her quick rise. Pleasing the internet smarks always hurts the wrestlers.
>Roman will be perma face top dog
the future is bleak, he's so boring
I agree. Those who demand that their darling be pushed right away should be ignored. Sasha especially is going to be completely turned on within a couple years. Look what happened to Paige.
Same shit happens with Balor.
>we hate how Roman has the LoN, Dean and the Usos dedicated to getting him over
>I WANT BALOR CLUB, AJ STYLES, ANDERSON AND GALLOWS CAN JUST DO THE TALKING FOR BALOR WHILST HE MAIN EVENTS
Hypocrisy persists, yo
Yeah, she hasn't even be on the MR for a year and is in line to win the title. Becky really should be the one to win. The fans love a good underdog story and Sasha wasn't even around for the first month of the road to wrestlemania.
I mean, I agree. Being a good fit for a babyface doesn't mean you can be the top guy, though.
He has all that stuff but lacks dat charisma of actual top guys over the years. He doesn't have nearly the speaking ability to grasp it.
Guys I was watching Wrestlemania 18 I think it was, the one with Stone Cold vs Scott Hall and The Rock vs Hogan and you know the Wrestlemania Axxess stuff??
One of the divas has a sculpture thing modelled on her ass and legs that fans could touch and do stuff with.
Is that weird?
If they had something like that today, who's ass would you want a replica of at Wrestlemania Access, remember that this ass replica is in public so whatever you do to it, there's a queue and other people watching no doubt.
At this point I'm just used to it
Neville was kill in such a weird way.
That's literally the first botch I've seen him do in the WWE and it was such a basic one that fucked his ankle and shinbone.
>learning Neville isn't a seamless automaton created to wrestle in the strangest possible way
Yeah, but the difference is Becky has been feuding with the champion for a while now. There's buildup there. Sasha just came out of nowhere at the end of January and got handed a shot after months of doing fuck all.
I just want Becky to get one big moment before Bayley replaces her.
All vanilla midgets
Nothing of value was lost
Its why I'm hoping for Sasha's sake that she doesn't win at WM32 since she has little to no character right now. If she does (she will), they need to turn her, insulate her and get working on her character because I'm cringing at the thought of a bland face Sasha.
Also, unrelated, are we ever going to get divas blood feud? I mean, with the roster they have only Becky, Paige, Charlotte? and Sasha (though she'd kill herself in the process) would be willing to take hard bumps but still. Feuds (or programs rather) just ending are kinda meh
>divas blood feud?
I mean Paige made fun of Charlotte's dead brother for committing suicide.
That feud was a "blood feud" with a title involved which is as much as you'll get and they did some table spots and stuff
It's just Charlotte was the worst face ever and Paige was Paige so no-one cared.
>bland face Sasha
>while still technically undefeated
God please no. She'll be the female Roman Reigns if this happens.
The closest we'll ever get to a blood feud I think is probably Sasha v Bayley, though it just won't work if Sasha doesn't go back to being the really nasty heel she was on NXT.
They way you guys talk about WM32 it might seem like you're actually looking forward to it.
I remember a couple of years ago when /sp/ wasn't a total shit hole and you could actually talk about wrestlers without people calling them "outlaws" and "vanilla midgets"
Now everyone watches ironically and pretends to like Ryback
>Now everyone watches ironically and pretends to like Ryback
, why is that if you like someone who isn't popular it's just "memes". Do you autist not enjoy every wrestler? why the fuck would i want to watch flippy shit every single match. You should be glad that ryback is still in the wwe. We're soon going to be filled with flippy-shit and you guys are going to be sick of that soon
>more hype for based Shinsuke
But they were entirely different.
Seth's was apparently purposefully bad to get the idea of a Roman reign over.
Miz's had genuine effort pumped into it.
And it was a very solid Heel reign that people downplay far too heavily in retrospect.
That boy knew how to get himself some fucking heat.
How long until Vince drops Roman and moves onto Jason Jordan?
>Seth's was apparently purposefully bad to get the idea of a Roman reign over.
Well for one I pointed them out because they don't do flippy shit, and if you think they're all the same then you don't watch them. But it's fine if you want to watch Rybotch and Reigns, they have good physics and apparently that's all that matters these days.
> if you think they're all the same then you don't watch them
The only person that is different in that group is Dean ambrose and Stardust.
Everyone else in that list are just "good Indy wrestlers" and in the wwe you need to be entertaining. Also in the WWE they won't even let the indy guys do their crazy shit so why would i care about any of them?
>Nig Nog day wrestling
>Not for the belts
Who would you prefer to win?
What is is with Japan and its Freddie Mercury fetish?
This place is no better than r/sq. I just don't get how Reigns (and Ryback) can trigger people so hard. Is it maybe that I don't love wrestling as much as some people on here?
I just have to say in reply to a lot of these posts, if you think Ryback is a "powerhouse worker" and Cesaro is not, you are fucking delusional. Watch Cesaro eliminating big show from the ATGMBR and tell me he's not the strongest motherfucker on the roster. That's not a fireman's carry that places the weight on his shoulders in a secure location, that's curling 500 lbs to chest height and dropping it.
Why is he the GOAT heel lads?
What's your favorite JeriGOD feud?
>tfw the Divas gave you a /fit/ fetish
Also, instead of just forgetting about the general when it reaches 300 replies and letting it turn into a cuck shed for the next 22 hours, please go bump the other threads till this reaches page 6 or 8.
What boos? All that Smackdown audience are cheering him on, friend.
Based Goldie on SmackDown this week
>Some fat neckbeard took the time to photoshop this
the most underrated wrestler on the planet.
Kentucky gentleman, Chuck Taylor.
since 2015, undefeated in PWG, Hunk of the year 2015, all around stellar guy.
Shane/Taker and Ambrose/Lesnar are the only ones I'm remotely interested in. New Day could be surprisingly interesting since they seem to work well from what we've seen already in the ring
And the Dudleys match because I'm a dudley mark
>be a Dudleys mark
>hyped as fuck when they're back
>hoping that they will get their 10th title reign for a nice even number
>mostly used to put over New Day and Wyatts
>now in a feud against fucking Usos
This is not what I expected and hoped for, lad
Yeah, it's a bit disappointing, but they did say if they're more concerned about helping the tag team division and other younger stars develop then coming back to win more titles.
Still though, I wish there would be better usage for them
What would be wrong with putting the straps on them for a PPV or two and then using that to put someone else over? Two birds with one stone.
Due to their constant losing I honestly lost interest in them at this point, but I'm still hyped as fuck for that entrance though
After playing 2k16 and comparing it to 2k15 I have to say, at least on PC version, it's a lot better.
Works smoother, can turn off the motion blur, creating a wrestler no longer takes fucking hours due to shit loading slowly as hell.
More moves, etc. Seems like they actually just brought back a few things they removed from 15 but it makes the game a lot better.
Though career mode is still rather shit, from what I see. Just doing it for unlockables (if there are any) really.
It's definitely a big improvement. Now if they can actually keep the stuff they brought back and build on it we could be looking at the best game in years. I don't get why they don't do this. It's always the same thing
>add neat feature or two while cutting out other features
>next year they add the cut stuff back in, but suddenly there's a different feature taken out in it's place
And it continues like this. They can never just keep everything in and build on it.
Also fuck them for not having the four horsewomen in the game desu.
Has Triple H really been champ 146 times?
>literally filling airtime with a Usos vs Dudleyz match
sure-fire HOF list:
>Angle(if he dies in WWE ring)
>CM Phil Brooks(if hes actually succeed in UFC then come back to WWE)
>Paul E dangerous
>Meth Hardy minus fatso hardy
no, no ryback yet coz he has done shit in WWE
