As a genuine lineage, the Intercontinental Belt's older. The Junior Heavyweight Belt's older. The fucking World Martial Arts Heavyweight Championship was older, and nobody talks about bringing that thing back.

And aside from the Women's Championship lacking legitimacy for its age, think about what the WWF did to the title. It was awarded to Debra for losing an Evening Gown match. They literally hung the thing on a woman because she lost a match by getting stripped by her opponent. And nobody cared, because the title was a joke anyway.

By my logic the WWE World Heavyweight Championship goes back to 1963 and Buddy Rogers. I don't think that's pathetically short, and I also don't think that age is what determines a belt's prestige. The ECW World Heavyweight Championship only existed for 8 years (legitimately and in ECW's kayfabe), but it became quite an important title because it was treated with respect.

The problem is a double edged sword. If you make the Divas division more wrestling oriented as it should be, the sex appeal will be irrelevant and many of the fans who watch the divas watch them because they have that sex appeal. if you keep it the way it is, it will never be taken seriously as the other belts.

Honestly i think the show Total Divas ruins their reputation even more as wrestlers while they act more like soap opera stars. Reminds me of those real housewives show

The problem is a false dilemma. Look at how the Japanese do it. You don't need to stack the division with hotties, but it helps to have a few. In fact, if there's a bit more diversity in the women's division, it makes the really good looking ones stand out. It's the same principle that applies to big workers in the men's division.
