Looking at them now, I definitely prefer the 2002 version even though I never watched Raw then. It just suits the belt more to be one big plate of finely engraved gold, no big bumps or dents or different shades.

I always loved the simplicity of the big gold belt. If a normie were to tune in for the first time, nothing says "World Champion" more than a guy wearing a big fucking belt made entirely of gold.

The WWE actually used a slightly smaller version of the Big Gold. This can be seen more so towards the end of it's career (2010-2013ish)


The original Big Gold is lost somewhere. Rumors say that Scott Steiner took it with him when he left WCW. Some of Hulk Hogan's paint marks >>1034414 can still be seen on the original.
