Today I found pic related on the tip of a twig of thyme. Does anyone have an idea what it is? The translucent part was jelly-like and very sticky, & the 'core' was very hard.
It dried out rather quickly, I tried taking a magnified pîcture of the core.

Looks like a seed. Some do that when they absorb water (basil and chia off of the top of my head), in this case probably from the morning dew.
Pop it in some water and it should rehydrate.

Pic related. Basil seeds are used in drinks in asia. Doesnt add much in the way of flavor, more of a texture thing.
Yeah, I'd say possibly a bird may have pooped it out anon.

Its a space blob what ever the whit goo wil disapeer in like 2 hours and if it is a seed dont use durt to grow it just use water
