Maned lionesses are incredibly UNcommon, you morons. Sure people may look over them but lion balls are hard to miss. There's only been a small handful of wild recorded and as far as I know they are all in Mombo . They are likely related and have some genetic issue that makes them produce too much testosterone(which probably also make them sterile and unlikely that they go into heat)

Emma at the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa also has a man and a white lioness in the Philly zoo started growing a mane so they spayed her and found she had too much testosterone.

Young male lions get kicked out of the pride and a single lion is a hard life. Brothers buddy up, hunt together, fuck together and they're more likely to be able to start a pride, take over a pride and actually keep their pride with two or more of them.
