Red and sweet, good to eat

Is this an actual thing people follow? There are so many red and sweet berries that are toxic to humans.

>Solanum pseudocapsicum
yeah. I was actually thinking about pic related (Taxus baccata). Its berries are toxic.

Flowers are exactly like the tree I found. Thx. Sadly it's berries are toxic

Some anon said in another thread that a good rule of thumb is looks tasty it's good to eat because we evolved to find the good ones tasty or something like that.

So, these are flowers of Solanaceae family.

I feel like a good rule of thumb is to look for evidence that birds/small mammals have eaten the fruits
if it's there, it's probably good, if it's not then it's likely poisonous to us

>birds eat it, it must be OK
You go ahead and do that
>>2467922
you know I always knew those berries were toxic but I didn't know they were only toxic to mammals
yeah, good to know
>>2467932
birds leave magenta shits all over things when when they're in season

Eat some, I dare you.
