How long should chickens stay in their coup for?
>>2460804
It depends on how biv the coop is, how much you care about the chicken, and what breed it is.
For example, Sillies can stay in a coop all day if it's a good size, though I'd let mine our every day anyways.
And other breeds like araucanas can't stand being locked up all the time.
But just because it can doesn't mean it should. If by coop you mean that whole enclosure then they should be fine if you have one or two.
If you mean coop as in the actual small house it's self I'd say only at night for them to lay their eggs and then close it the rest of the day. I wouldn't leave a chicken in there for more than the night.
