My 10 y/o mastiff went through the trash in the night and got at some chicken wings. I do not see any left so she must have ingested all three. Just recently she threw up and inside was shards of chicken bone. This concerns me, wat do? Its been at least four hours since she ate them and maybe an hour since she threw up. She just recently ate, but she hasn't taken a dump since last night.
My friend's dog ate like 30 chicken wing bones once and was fine. If I remember right he said she didn't shit for a day or so and then took what seemed like a really painful, bony one and that was that.
How has your 10 y/o mastiff not been trained out of this behaviour? You should have done that 9 years ago.

Feed a bunch of rice or soft bread. Anything to surround and cushion the shards.

Rescued it about a week ago

If your dog is such a piece of shit to die after eating chicken bones, it's probably for the best. Seriously, we've always fed our dogs chicken bones and never had a problem. Then again our dogs are fucking awesome mutts and don't have special snowflake digestive tracts. After they eat bones we just get white chalky dog-eggs the next day. Oh and deadly dog farts all evening.
For real, people are fucking stupid about their dogs and what they do. Had some dumb piece of shit bitch at me once for throwing sticks for my dog because of splinters and what if the stick caught in the ground and hurt doggos neck? If throwing sticks was bad for your dog I'm pretty sure in the few thousand years of domesticating wolves, we would have figured it out by now.
