when my 20~ year old cat died last year it was like someone tore out a piece of me... it still kinda sucks ass to come home with no one there to greet me, no one to feed, no one to play with etc...
It hurts less in time, that's all I can say. Maybe get another cat after some time, that might help alleviate the crushing loneliness. Stay strong anon.
