They are highly territoral and the males are possieve of their females.
They see everything as a rival besides fish and the bird that cleans their teeth.
They are built like a tank and fast as fuck on land, their jaws are powerful.
They are very capable of killing Humans do kill a lot of them.

And I think they are better off that way.
Humans don't fuck with Hippos, we avoid them because they will kill us.
