I just found this bug crawling on my bedsheets today. I'm pretty sure it's a bedbug(female) but would like some confirmation for my sanity.

Had these abominations take residence in my couch last year. Had to call a pro, took around 4 weeks of treatment I believe. Burned the couch in the end anyways.

call an exterminator immediately
if you're seeing one there's definitely more and it's very difficult to get rid of them solo

OP here just booked the exterminator for this Thursday. Luckily it seems like we caught it before any eggs could hatch so hopefully we can get this done quickly. Only problem is my landlord and one of my roommates thinks it's our fault since they think bedbugs are attracted to filth like cockroaches. Last thing I want is a legal battle over this.

My condolences OP. Bed bugs are hell that cause you to lose your mind and lots of money. I've had them and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The psychological stress alone is absolute torture. I ended up moving and buying all new furniture.

Your landlord is a retard. They can leave in dirty or clean homes. All they need is a place to hide and something to feed on. And even the, they can still go a few months without eating at all. Hope everything turns out well.

The exterminator did an inspection and luckily they said it just might be a lone adult that had latched onto me. Worst case scenario it laid eggs somewhere, but I'm still booking an extermination just in case. Better safe than sorry.
